NMRA medium plugs to solder to decoder harnesses. To use as a plug, solder wires to open holes on top; to use as a socket, solder wires to the pins and insulate connections with heat shrink tubing. May also be used as an "extender" to move a factory installed 8-pin socket farther from the circuit board if clearance is a problem.
